You will always receive a receipt from the government for all fee based applications within 2-3 weeks of submission typically. I will always set the expectation for you so that you understand the steps involved in your process.
The USCIS publishes processing times which I will share with you and show you how to access. This is not a guarantee but an average. Some parts of the process will not have published times so I will share with you the trends that we are seeing with those types of cases.
Attorneys bring with them a broad wealth of knowledge that you won’t find with people that just fill out forms. We understand admissibility and removal issues so that we can prevent you from making errors that can harm your ability to be successful and possibly even being placed in removal/deportation proceedings. The stakes are high when interacting with Immigration agencies.
I have consultation appointments available after 5pm and on Saturday afternoons for a fee of $50.
It is best to have the intending immigrant at the consultation but a close family member can come with them if they have all of the immigrant’s past immigration filings and information. Maybe joining by phone is an option as well.
There is a $30 fee that is applied to your attorney fees if you sign a contract within 30 days. The fee for Saturdays and after hour nights is $50.
You should bring a copy of anything that you have submitted to any immigration agency and anything that you have ever received from any immigration agency. If you have been represented by another attorney in the past, you should bring a copy of your file. Finally, if you have ever been arrested or detained by any law enforcement, you should bring a copy of the arrest and adjudication if you have time.
